Wont work as an idler, bearing is useless
The bearing centre is flush and even with a shim the idler binds once the retaining bolt is tightened. waste of time.

Surprisingly precise
Coupled with the right timing belt I was pleasantly surprised by how little play there is. I'm using a belt that's nearly 2m long and these are proving a much better way of transferring motion than a chain or gears.
