SUPER BRIGHT Be Forewarned (Even When Dimmed) - Attaches with Foam Sticker
We bought two sets which lines where the ceiling and wall meet in my son's college dorm room. The back of the strip is a sticker and they put it on the metal part of the hanging ceiling tiles. (Do not know yet how this does when trying to remove it.) This is CRAZY bright. When the color is turned on the ENTIRE room turns that color. There are many options such as allowing it to keep changing color, which is too trippy for anything but a nightclub in our opinion. You can stop it on one color. If you keep it at white only it lights the entire room almost like you are on a stage. There is a dimmer switch. It can also be put onto strobe lighting setting. The different set I bought from another manufacturer was to be attached with zip ties which is what I would have preferred if I were present at my son's college dorm at the time he installed it as the removal would have been fast and would not cause damage. Rating 4 stars = Like It.

Strip LIghting
These would be great if you only need to install on a straight line. The adhesive is REALLY strong. I prepped the wall and they stuck. BUT I have a wall that had to change the direction of the lights and once I made the adjustment the lights no longer changed colors, they were stuck on one color. Sadly they are gong back. I am repurchasing the same lights and will line the room differently with them. I am buying them again because they appear to be a quality made product. Just have to adjust how they are installed.

Buyer beware. they didn't send correct parts
They sent the wrong electric cord that goes into the transistor. It is supposed to have a 3 prong "grounded" cord and they sent a 2 prong that does not work. Then the product was flickering and not working right. Will never buy from this manufacturer again

My only negative is the sticky back doesn't work well you will need to get double sided tape to hold in place and the remote uses same frequency as my TV so if I change the channel it changes the lasts or makes them start flashing which is annoying.
Lights are very bright but able to be dimmed. My only negative is the sticky back doesn't work well you will need to get double sided tape to hold in place and the remote uses same frequency as my TV so if I change the channel it changes the lasts or makes them start flashing which is annoying.

Good looking, easy setup, but EXTREMELY noisy (electrically)
I bought these to add some light to a room with no overhead lighting and to see how they worked/looked. I opted to use the full length rather than trimming the strand and mounted the set near ceiling level in order to achieve the best light distribution. What's good:The 10 meter length is ample and ran further than I expected. The strip is flexible and doesn't seem too unusually fragile.- My kit had 3M adhesive on the entire strip which, so far, holds rather well to a painted wall with only a wipe down using a dry cloth.- The LEDs are bright and the preset colors can be dimmed according to tastes. Full brightness is almost too bright in my application.- The LEDs are multi-element units which makes each LED the desired color. This is opposed to other similar units which only use sets of single-color red, green, and blue, LEDs and vary the intensity to achieve different colors.- The color and intensity is uniform. I noticed slight variations of color using certain DIY combinations, but it was barely noticeable.- The DIY settings have a nice wide gradient making it relatively easy to get the exact custom color you want.- While you sometimes notice the RBG elements of the LEDs when running your eyes past them indirectly, there is very little noticeable flicker (if any).- The white background of the strip makes it rather unobtrusive on any light-colored surface. You don't really notice they're there until you turn them on. However, on any dark-colored surface, this may have the opposite effect.Drawbacks/things they could have done better:- This set emits an astounding amount of electrical/RF noise. The noise varies depending on color, intensity, and brightness however the noise generated from both the LEDs, the power distribution/remote receiver box, and the power brick are enough to cause significant interference on AM broadcast and parts of the Short Wave radio bands. Noise from the power distribution/remote receiver box is present even when the set is off. This has forced me to turn it off at a power strip when not in use or disconnect the brick from the set. This is at best annoying and at worst a violation of FCC regulations. I strongly suggest this set be revised to properly shield against RF interference generated by the electronics. For my uses, this is the biggest disappointment.- The infra-red receiver for the remote has an unusual shield on one side which can lead to problematic remote reception when mounted in certain orientations (such as with both wires pointed upwards). The wire doesn't like to bend either, making use of something sticky to hold the "eye" in a usable position almost necessary.- The strand gets rather warm during operation. This is especially noticeable if you test the strand on the reel (I wouldn't recommend doing this for any extended period). This might become a factor when the strand might be easily touched. The exposed contacts at each "cut point" could also potentially cause a shock if touched, making it wise to keep this out of reach of children and animals.- There is nothing included to mount the power connection/remote receiving unit to a wall. I used a strip of command adhesive, which would be a useful inclusion.- The power "brick" wires are too short for high wall mounting using a normal floor-level receptacle. I have unusually low ceilings and found the length of both wires barely adequate with the power/remote box places as far as possible below the strip without strain.- There is also nothing included to mount the brick to a wall if desired. I would assume heavy-duty command strips may do the trick. I have to have the brick sitting on a table since mounting it on the wall would also be unsightly. The black brick and wires are obtrusive and obvious compared to the light-colored strip and power/remote box.- DIY colors can't be dimmed. I can think of several reasons why this is the case. It's a minor drawback, but would be nice to have this capability.Overall, I'm not disappointed and have considered buying a second set to add to another room in need of overhead lighting. However, the noise factor is the biggest thing holding me back. If you have any radio or communication hobby, it may be wise to explore a higher-quality set which doesn't cause as much interference. If that issue is fixed, I would be much more motivated to buy again.

Broken LED Lights
The length is perfect, however the LED lights are either broken or a small section of the light is a different colour from what you select. I’ve posted photos for a better understanding...anyway, this obviously ruins the look/vibe of the room which is why i gave it one star. hopefully i get sent a new one...UPDATE: I have received new lights and they work perfectly. If I had gotten these firsthand, I would've rated it 5 stars.

I bought this strip lighting to provide some backlighting to the top of my cabinets in the kitchen. For its price it is so much better than what you can purchase at Ikea or Best Buy for 4x the price. It has some large, clunky adapters and plugins, so I would recommend finding a nice area to tuck these things away, but the lighting and variation it provides is great and easily makes a room look so much nicer with a minimal addition.
