Intrepid International Correction Mouth Western Bit with Square Port and Copper Barrels

This is a great bit. My horses like it and respond well to it.

I was skeptical about using this bit but I was looking for a bit that would stop my arabian from head thrusting and refusing to back up. It worked wonderfully. I even bought another horse last week that has head thrusting issues and tried it on her and she was much better with this bit than the other 2 bits I tried on her first. I have now bought two of them.

This bit is double jointed. It's articulated everywhere, so there is absolutely no pinching or stiffness. My mare is a real head slinger if there is any uncomfortable pressure on her mouth, and with this bit I can ride out in extremely rough country and she keeps her head down low despite my applying pressure at times, Because of the way it is made, obviously she feels only "normal" pressure and doesn't resist. A huge step forward from my traditional loose ring ergonomic french-link snaffle which also is a great bit.

I have a Missouri Fox Trotter who did very well in this bit. No pinch, seemed very comfortable on him. He's still a handful when he fox trots so my trainer suggested a similar bit with more leverage thru longer shank.

This is a very nice bit that found easy acceptance in my mare. It is heavy duty construction, and very well made so there are no pinch points. Like a lot of more expensive bits. My friends couldn't believe the price I paid! Well worth it.

This product is great if you have a horse with a soft mouth. My horse loves it and it has helped him a lot
