I REALLY like this heater!
After using glass heaters for years and years and having issues like cracking I saw this one while I was browsing and stopped to check it out. I'm so glad I did. Been set up for 24 hours now and it has kept the temp EXACTLY at what I set it on. It has a nice big display right on the heater itself that shows the temp so I don't have to squint at a thermometer. It has a switch far enough from either end of the cord that I can change the temp (or from celsius to Fahrenheit) without ever getting near the water or having to reach around the back of the tank. I am so happy with this purchase! One thing to note, the directions did say to replace in one year. Still, a great buy!

60 days and it stopped working! Replaced and died again!
You should be able to purchase a product and expect some quality. The unit looks great and was fantastic for 60 days. Got to my office this morning...and the tank was 65 degrees....lost a couple fish!Thank goodness I had a backup heater in my drawer and saved the remaining fish. There is no way that a heater should only work for 60 days....shame on youUPDATE: The seller replaced the unit a while later and the new unit died within the year. Seriously I cannot say enough bad things about this heater!

Very accurate and easy to read digital display
I have been using this for over a week and am very impressed so far. It keeps the temp within 1-2 degrees. The digital read out is very accurate (checked with another digital thermometer), matches to the degree! I especially like having an external thermostat control although since I have set it to 79, haven’t had to make any adjustments. The digital display is very easy to read with aquarium light on or off.

So sad, such a novel idea!
Dear heater customers,Do not waste your time on these types of heaters. Though the design is novel, it is useless. Kinda like putting a brand new saddle on an ole nag and hope they ride like the wind! I have purchased 3 exact style heaters from 3 different companies , and all 3 have the same flaw, they will not regulate at temperature set! The companies just need to fix their glitch. I would venture to say most of the high star ratings are do to lack of time having the product. One heater worked almost a year, the other 2, sad to say less then 2 weeks. Yet the first one was the worst as it started over heating, and if not noticed, no telling how high it would have gone. So much for E2 and E6 error codes. The idea is good, that's why the 2 stars, the overall product, useless.

Quit working just over a month of owning it!
After owning the product for just over a month it quit working so even though I gave 5 stars above they didn't ask about how well the device it's self worked therefore I would not recommend this product unless you feel like replacing it in just over a month

Very sleek appearance
Heater works exactly as advertised. I really like the temperature control outside of the tank, and the digital display is genius. If it last a year then i will have gotten my moneys worth.

Not accurate
I purchased the heater for my Oscar tank. We have one large Oscar who likes warm water. My old heater that was several years old started to show its age. I liked the features of this heater. Being able to set temp outside of tank, and real time display of temperature were nice features. I put the heater in the tank and followed instructions to the letter. I also put two thermometers in tank for comparison. Well, I set heater to 78F, and according to other two thermometers, it heated water to 83 degrees!. I moved heater per instructions to a location right in from front of pump output so it would get a constant flow of water. Still, same results. I guess adding 5 degrees to display would work, but I do not trust the heater with my five year old Oscar. Also, according to documentation, the heater needs to be replaced every year. So, its inaccurate, can't trust operation, and it's only good for a year. I could probably deal with it only lasting a year, if it worked properly during that year.
