Grain of salt
Take this review with a grain of salt. While I am putting this unit in a new build with the latest motherboard, CPU, memory, case, power supply, etc. There is already a USB 3.0 subsystem built into my ASUS Z87 Pro motherboard and so I have to add a PCI card for a second USB 3.0 system so I can plug in the 40 pin adapter required by this device. However, the combination locks up the machine and pops up a Blue Screen of Death. With just the card an no device, the machine runs. So, in all honesty, I can't tell if it's the PCI card or the iDsonix that is crashing my machine, but I rate it as one star because it doesn't work. Should I discover what is actually causing the crash, I will amend the rating if it isn't this device.

Looks great in my PC, nice quality
This in my opinion is one of the best card readers on the market. Looks great in my new build in my Corsair 500 case. The only warning it has the plug (usb 3.0) that attaches directly to your motherboard. I already had mine taken with the front USB 3.0 ports in my Corsair 500R case, so I had to purchase a USB 3.0 PCI-E card with a connector for this card reader. Just make sure your Motherboard has an available connector. Some have 2 Ports and in some cases none (older boards). Just remember this before ordering.

Great Upgrade for my PC
The iDsonix internal card reader is so easy to install. All you need is a 20 pin slot available on your motherboard. I actually didn't. My other front USB ports were hogging it, but losing two USB ports to one USB port with card readers was well worth it.The only thing I needed to buy was a mounting kit , because I have 5.5" bays and this is only 3.5". They are very inexpensive and easy to assemble.Once I had everything installed, it was a breeze to use. Everything worked without a glitch. No need to update drivers or download software. My Windows 7 knew what it had.I don't have all the cards that this reader can read, but I put in everything I had, including a flash drive, a Memory Stick Pro, a micro SD card, and an SDHC card. The two that conflict are micro SD and SDHC. They can't be read at the same time. Other than that, I didn't have any problems. The USB 3.0 connection works well. I paired it with a 10-port hub and inserted a class 10 SDHC card into a USB 3.0 reader into that. To move a 1.71 GB file, it took 2 minutes, 28 seconds. It's nice to have all the card readers and USB port planted on the front of my PC so I don't have to go hunting for a reader. I've been throwing everything at it that I normally use, and so far it hasn't failed me. I'm very happy with my upgrade. This product was provided for review by Appearances International.
