I originally purchase this because I have several USB devices I work with on a daily basis. I do not like having to unplug printer, scanner, USB portable hard drives all the time. This works great but only downfall is my label printer is not recognized when plugged into this unit. Other than that it works great.

This hub looked and sounded great, but here's why it's not:1) The device failed. Three days AFTER the warranty/return period!2) That return "window" is only 30 days!3) It did not have the capability to charge ANYTHING. Not even an iPod.Take a $20, a $10, and a $5 bill and light them on fire. Hold your hands above the flame to feel the heat. You just got more value from your $35!

Do NOT buy any USB hub that doesn't have adequate external power... Strange things will happen (or not happen)... and very bad things can happen such as bad or failed external hard drive connections.This little device has plenty of power and 3 of the ultra-fast USB 3.0 ports on top for your external hard drives.Pay whatever this thing costs... Because $10 or $5 or even $2 spent on any other hub (or any under-powered hub) is a total waste of money, time, and maybe even lost data.

I'm very happy with it.Might rate 5 stars......I'm just need to have it longer.I've had lesser expensive hubs that didn't seem to last.RDS

After several weeks of using this product, the 3 USB3 ports on top of the unit no longer work. USB2 ports are fine.

Only the USB3.0 ports continue to work for me. All front-facing USB2.0 ports no longer work.

It stopped working on a continous basis. Ordered another brand. It works fine.

Replaced underpowered 7-port usb hub. All devices are now reliably fully powered. Desktop is tidier. One open USB 3.0 port still left for a new USB device. The On/Off switch is a nice feature.
